L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Collection Exclusive

L'Oreal's latest offerings to the Color Riche collection are a set of bespoke nudes and reds designed by the brands spokeswoman including Blake Lively, Eva Longoria and Freida Pinto. There are 10 lipsticks in total, 4 reds and 6 nudes. I took advantage of the Boot's 3 for 2 deal, and picked up a selection of  the best.

The Collection Privee is a set of 6 nudes chosen by different L'Oreal spokeswomen, with a shade for every skin tone which is certainly a plus point in my book when it comes to high street make-up. There was only ever 4 of the nudes on display in my local Boots and Superdrug. I picked up two, Barely Peach by Julianne Moore and Barely Golden by Eva Longoria. I wouldn't describe Julianne's lipstick as peach at all. It's more of a light pink nude and makes for a perfect 'my lips but better'. Eva's has a darker, more brown colouring but it is quite a sheer finish on the lips.

L-R: Blake's Red, Barely Peach by Julianne, Eva's Red, Barely Golden by Eva

Exclusive Reds is the other collection in the line, with four gorgeous and pure shades. Blake's Red is a bold, matte finish which I can only describe as Postbox red. I have always been more of a nude lips girl, however I have worn this nearly every day since I purchased it - officially hooked! It's by far my favourite lipstick at the moment (sorry Mac Diva!). The other lipstick I got from this range was Eva's red, which again is a matte finish but with more of an slightly warmer undertone.

Swatches top-bottom: Blake's Red, Julianne's Nude, Eva's Red, Eva's Nude. Blake's Red on the lips.

I think the formulation of these lipsticks is great, especially the nudes as they have less of a matte finish making them moisturising and less drying on the lips. The only lipstick I have a slight issue with is Eva's Red, this always seems to dry my lips out quickly and the lasting power isn't great like the lipsticks in the collection which is disappointing,

These lipsticks are available at Boots for £6.99 each , and are still on 3 for 2!
